Our Sunsets Never Disappoint

I love where I live and literally being a stones throw from the water has afforded us some beautiful sunsets during our time here. For whatever reason, though, they have been on point these last few weeks.

Ever since the craziness of 2020 truly began back in March, people would flock to a known park on the hill overlooking Newport Harbor. People weren’t wearing masks, they were still trying to enjoy themselves and get to grips with what was unfolding. Pre-#COVID, #sunsets at this park were not a thing of interest to many but, rightly so, more and more people would congregate here as they were only allowed to meet up outside now instead of socializing in their homes, at restaurant or in the bars.
It was, and is a lovely sight to see groups, mostly small groups, chatting and laughing and watching the sky change in the minutes, or hours up to the sunset and hang around afterward until the starlights had started to flicker.

Living in England, we received all types weather, mostly grey, cloudy and rainy, but when the weather was clear and sunny there are not many places I would rather be. That said, being by #Balboa Pier watching the sunset over Santa #Catalina is a view I will never get bored of seeing.
The year 2020 has been a very trying year for many and we say that a lot but it really has, however when we take just a small amount of time to enjoy the outside world our mood changes for good. Getting that all important #vitaminD from the huge energy source in the sky helps us out physically but perhaps more importantly, mentally.
Spending just 10 to 20 minutes at the park watching the sunset with my family has helped me immensely to relax, reduce my stress levels and enjoy the beautiful art show which occurs every single day. Our sunsets never disappoint.
Get outside, keep well and stay safe!
